Esma Redžepova (1943–2016) was a Macedonian Romani singer and humanitarian celebrated across the Balkans and beyond. With a career of thousands of concerts and recordings, she championed Roma music on the world stage and devoted herself to charitable work, including fostering many children.
She was honoured internationally as an ambassador of Roma culture.
