Language and music preserved through hardship and persecution.
Through repeated waves of exclusion, Roma communities preserved their language, music and family structures with remarkable resilience. Cultural continuity became a form of survival when legal and social protection was absent.
That endurance is why so much Roma heritage survives to be documented today.
